Mothers Day Gifts Ideas

Mothers Day Gift Ideas

1-Give each of your children a $ 1 and let them pick something out for you at the Dollar Store (not a big loss and it’s fun to see what your children pick out)
2-Does she need a watch?  Think about things that aren’t as common
3-Scentsy Warmer’s:  These are awesome!
4-Jewelry:  Does she want a necklace, earrings, bracelet, etc.  Think about the colors she likes to wear
5-A date night:  Sometimes a night out is enough for any mom
6-A treat basket
7-A movie that she likes
8-If she is in need of Sandals or something for the summer you might want to consider a gift certificate
9-Books:  A good book is always great!
10-If she likes to scrapbook give her some scrapbook supplies
11-Flowers
12-Bread or other gift baskets
13-Does she have a favorite place to shop or go out to lunch with friends?  Give her a gift certificate to that place
14-Mom’s always like a chocolate covered strawberry
15-Give something personalized, engraved, etc.
16-Do a bouquet of balloons with sayings inside each balloon
17-Floral Arrangements:  Whenever my dad order’s my mom floral arrangements he chooses flowers, greenery, etc. to go along with something and add symbolism to the arrangements.  He has done 7 pink flowers and 2 blue flowers representing their 9 children.  You can be creative.  He then writes it on the card that is delivered to my mom.  She loves it and looks forward to seeing what he chose each time


Mothers Day Acts of Service

1-Make her breakfast in bed
2-Do the laundry

3-Load the dishes and clean up the kitchen
4-Paint a room that she wants painted
5-Rent a carpet cleaner and clean the carpets
6-Go do the grocery shopping for her (be careful to stay within the budget J)
7-Go fill up her car with gas
8-Take care of the children so she can have a night or day out
9-Get the children in bed early and have a special dinner at home if you can’t get out of the house
10-Make her a special treat
11-Offer to help purchase the gifts for your mom or mother-in-law
12-Handy with wood?  Make something simple with wood
13-Clean out the fridge
14-Find the babysitter so that you can go out
15-Offer to help make dinner
16-Surprise her with a day off from work and spend time with her (doing the Honey Do List)
17-Help get the children ready for the day


Mothers Day Card Ideas

1- Trace your children’s hands, have them write a note on their hand, cut them out and staple them together. 

2- Write a personal letter

 
3-A few years ago we put together a binder with clear sheets and then each year we have the children draw a picture, write a letter, or give our mom’s a card and they put it in the binder so they have a collection over the years. 


4-If you purchase a special book for your mom you can write a special message with the date in the book.

5-Purchase a journal and write the first entry from you and then give it to your mom

6-There are fun ecards that you can send through the email

7-Make a video clip and download it and send it to her (it can be funny, simple or sentimental)

8-Cut out 2 hearts and staple them together.  You can put messages inside the heart that she can pull out

9-Type up 1 sentence sayings about your mom and cut them into strips.  Then put them in a jar and she can pull them out.

10-Take a poster board, piece of cardstock or whatever sign of card you would like to make.  Write your card, draw pictures, ect. and then cut it into puzzle pieces for her to put together.

11- Want a large card without the cost.  Take a large posterboard, fold it in half and create a special mother’s day card.

12-Purchase a card from the store
