Halloween is a time of parties and games in the classroom. It is a time of ghosts, goblins and witches parading through the school to show off their new Halloween costume. It is also a time of head scratching and headache for a mom who is trying to come up with the party and game ideas for her kids Halloween classroom party. Look No further, there are plenty of ideas here.
Pinatas are nothing new to anyone, but there are some ideas that can help you to get beyond the standard candy filled pinata. This is Halloween after all and they will be getting plenty of treats when they going trick or treating. Putting in something other than candy can make for a different and fun pinata that is sure to excite the kids and keep you in good standing with the other moms and dads of the kids in the class.

Carving Pumpkins
You can either have a contest among tables carving pumpkins or to make it more adventurous you can carve the pumpkin, cut it into pieces (need to be a little bigger) and then rotate tables and take toothpicks and have the teams put it back together like a puzzle.
Halloween Relay Race Game
This is the perfect game to play in the classroom for the Halloween party at school. It is a good idea to have simple games planned so that you can spend more time playing and less time explaining. You are also a lot more likely to get more particiaption from the kids. You can simply call it the Halloween Relay Race.
Make 2 sets of cards with the following: Boo like a ghost Crawl like a cat Walk like Frankenstein Arms in a circle like a pumpkin Fly like a witch on her broom Crawl like a spider Prance like a fairy Hop like a bunny Wobble like a scarecrow And keep the list going
Split the card into 2 teams and then they draw a card, go down and back doing that specific thing and then the next child draws a card.
Don't Eat the Goblin (The Halloween version of the Don't Eat Pete game)
Create a sheet with 9 Halloween pictures in squares Then place 9 candies on the board (M&M’s, Skittles, Halloween candy, etc) Send one child away and then everyone else points to who “Pete” is – don’t say it out loud or take the candy off (you don’t want it to be obvious) Then the one child comes back and points to one character at a time If it isn’t Pete then the child gets the candy, if they point to “Pete” then the kids shout “Don’t Eat Pete” and their turn is over Then pick another child and put more candies out on the card
Take a ping pong ball and paint or draw lines with a permanent marker lines and to make an eyeball Put the ping pong ball on a spoon and have them run down and back keeping it on the spoon You could also use a hard boiled egg (if you are outside and want it to be really gross you could use a regular egg)
Costume Relay
Have a bunch of different costumes or costume supplies at one end of a room. Split the children or adults into 2 or more teams Then have them race from one end to the other, put on the costume, run down and show the costume to the team and then race back and take it off. Then they come back and tag the next child or adult to go do the same. Of course, they would continue until each team member has gone and the team who completes it first wins.
